Vision can handle any type of data but it gives a richer experience with media files.
Vision is able to use proxies as well as high res media in previews and downloads.
In order to have Vision with proxies, you need a third party transcoder to generate those proxies and store them in MatrixStore.
You have several options depending on your access to transcoders. We support three different transcoders:
- Cubix from Ortana
This is the most powerful option. It allows to generate proxies at any stage of the workflows, during or after ingest. It does not require any extra tool. - Glooport from Glookast
It allows to generate proxies at any stage of the workflows, during or after ingest. It does not require any extra tool. - ContentAgent from Root6 Technologies
It requires to include one of our utilities in the workflows to created the link between high res and low res. - Vantage from Telestream
It requires to include one of our utilities in the workflows to created the link between high res and low res
